Meet ToniLynn, founder of TLC Boutique Wellness
Hi, I'm ToniLynn, and welcome to my very first post as a wellness and nutrition coach.
If you're here, you might be thinking about starting a GLP-1 medication. Maybe you're already on one and wondering how to make the most of it. Or maybe you're thinking about stepping away and worried about what happens next.
Wherever you are, I'm so glad you found your way here.
How I Got Here
For a little over three years, I've owned and run TLC Boutique Wellness, a wellness clinic in South Tampa. In that time, I've talked with hundreds of people who were ready for a change. Many of them started GLP-1 medications, and many saw amazing results.
But I kept noticing the same thing.
The medication worked, yet people still had questions no prescription could answer:
What should I eat when I'm barely hungry?
How do I keep my muscle?
What happens to my weight when I stop?
How do I make lifestyle changes and keep them?
Am I doing this right?
I know those questions well because I asked every one of them myself.
My Story
Before I became a mom, I was a professional dancer, cheerleader, and model. Then, in 2020, I had twins, and the extra weight was mentally hard for me.
Not long after, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. Instead of starting synthetic thyroid medication, which is another story for another time, I chose a holistic route.
Around the same time, GLP-1 medications were approved for weight loss. I lost 40 pounds in just three months. But the medication was so new that everyone was still learning how to use it and what best practices looked like.
The weight came off, but it came at a cost:
I was sick all the time.
I never wanted to eat, and I didn't know what I should eat.
My usual HIIT workouts became extremely difficult.
I lost muscle and a lot of skin elasticity.
That experience is what led me to open my own wellness clinic.
I wanted to teach people the right, healthy way to use this incredible tool as part of their wellness journey.
It's also why I went back to school. I recently graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, so I can give my clients the guidance I wish I'd had.
Who I Help
Thrive with TLC is nutrition and wellness coaching for every stage of the GLP-1 journey:
Before you start: Build healthy habits and a strong foundation before beginning medication.
While you're on it: Focus on protein, proper nourishment, muscle preservation, and managing changes in appetite and side effects.
After you stop: Build a sustainable plan to help maintain your results long after the prescription ends.
I also love working with women in midlife who are navigating hormone changes, perimenopause, and menopause, because those shifts can change the way our bodies respond to food, exercise, stress, and recovery.
What Coaching With Me Looks Like
Coaching isn't a strict meal plan or a list of foods you can never eat again.
It's a partnership.
Together, we'll look at your whole life: what you eat, how you sleep, how you move, how you handle stress, and what you want your health to look like five years from now.
Then, we build small, realistic steps that add up over time.
My philosophy comes down to our tagline:
Transform Within. Thrive for Life.
Lasting change starts on the inside, with habits and mindset, and it's meant to last well beyond any single program or prescription.
